There are many people that think of windmills, water and wooden shoes and other stereotypical things when people talk about Holland. These are the people that also forgot or did not know another export from the tiny country that now is crashing the shores of North America... They forget that Holland has one amazing Metal scene that seems to be growing like unchecked crabgrass!
Disintegrate comes from the little country known for flooding, a band that packs a sonic punch that is amazingly heavy yet comes down on you as nasty and scary as thousands of razorblade at a nudist colony... simply put, this band clearly is intent on powering a swath of metal that is and always be very hard to ignore.
Sounding like a death metal version of 3 Inches of Blood, they have harmony, intelligence and a whole shit load of kick ass as well. Each of the four songs on the EP is a thing of Death/Thrash beauty. Lyrically, they are so brutal. Each word growled seemed to be far beyond just brutal as it constantly dredging up all of those gore infused dreams you thought you had gotten over as a kid, and slaps you with them... while the music draws you in deeper and makes escape from their blood soaked world all but impossible.
Weak spot is the EP itself. It is no secret that I am mot a fan of EPS in any way, but as far as this one goes... it is one of them that I can forgive for being so short on music. They better give the metal world a full album in the very near future and show themselves better... I for one, is looking forward to it.
