Review by Michael on November 8, 2001.

Technical riffs. Technical drums. Evil vocals. Beautiful Samples. Who is going to complain about that? Not me!! From beginning to end this CD kicks some serious ass. The band was created originally as a solo project of one H. Ram-Zet to have complete musical control over a project after being a member of many current Norweigen metal acts. This entity is one of if not the best Industrial Metal bands in the world.

This album contains many traditional metal-styled elements fused with a powerful combination of industrial and synth. Is this the new direction for Scandinavian metal? I think Ram-Zet are definitely pushing the boundaries of what has been done to create an all together new direction for the generally traditional Scandinavian bands.

They’re sound is massive, production wise this album is A grade. A lot of time (and probably) money has been put in to create this flawless release that the band actually recorded and engineered themselves!. Even the cover art is fantastic! Unlike the plethora of other bands trying to combine industrial/electro with good solid metal, Ram-Zet have done it without sounding repetitive. The guitar lines are varied and always interesting, the drums have been well thought out and keyboard parts add just the right amount of tension to the atmosphere of the album. The addition of beautiful female sung and spoken word vocals to some tracks add an interesting twist to H. Ram-Zet’s very original screeching voice. The contrast between all these hard/evil and beautiful things really makes this album one of the best releases of 2000. This band deserves more credit than they are getting.

Favourite Track(s): Definitely the unbelievable 'No Peace' and the big opener 'The Fall'.

Bottom Line: This is by far the best Industrial Metal I have been fortunate enough to get my hands on. An all together brilliant CD
