Review by Drew on June 16, 2008.

Gracing us from Sweden is a band called Freevil. Freevil's line-up is lead singer and ex Witchery/Séance member Mique Flesh, guitarist Tomas Andersson and drummer Roger Blomberg both from the band, Denata. Given these members with experience, this is a recipe for a solid album and Freevil Burning is certainly as solid as they come.

When I saw the cover art, which was quite attractive I may add, I did not know what to expect. I threw the CD in the CD player and haven't taken it out since. It's one of those albums that will be in my CD player permanently. Every song on Freevil Burning is great. The lyrics are dark, the beats are moving, and the vocals are amazing, they shred your eardrums and make you scream for more.

Although this whole album is solid, some notable songs are "Killing Spree", "Hate", "Live The Lie", and "Toxicated". These songs will make you want to bang your head in the worst possible way ever, but that's a good thing, trust me. If this album were a drug, you would see people on the street corners selling it for a premium price because metal fans, the first time they hear it, will get hooked.

Freevil's Freevil Burning is a MUST have for all fans of metal music. It's very rare that you find an album where every song shakes you to your very core and I can guarantee this one will. If it does not, you are not a true fan of metal music. I cannot say enough about this band or even this album, words cannot express how great this album is. Now go out and buy it!

Bottom Line: Once you hear this in its entirety, you'll be telling all your friends about how great it is.
