On the surface, this seemed like a really pissed off band that has come out of the city of Bristol, UK... pissed off is just the ruddy tip of the iceberg here. Just listening to these British demons, makes me think that Henry Rollins has crossed the big pond to live and formed a really extreme metal band. These guys do not pull any punches.

Mixing the punk ferocity of Hardcore, adding in a massive dose of extreme metal and even dropping in some Grindcore for added spice... you then call the whole damned thing Burning Skies. This five piece are completely brazen, uniquely uncompromising and way more than just a little cynical towards the world around them. Judging by the titles on the eleven songs layed out here... I would hate to see what happens if they got access to major stashes of assault weapons.

Flavours of Carcass, The Red Chord and even older Napalm Death are mixed into each and every adrenalin fuelled beat that Burning Skies slaps down on the album. They take all of that, and inject even more anger into it. It all ends up being an album that makes you laugh at times, be really horrified once in a while as well then gets you to the point of being really pissed off at the world all at once.

If you are needing to work off the feeling that you are really pissed off at everything that is around you... Burning Skies: "Greed, Filth, Abuse, Corruption" will foot the bill to fuel the inner ass**le that we all have lurking deep in ourselves. Let it out, it just might be a little fun.
