Another Italian metal assault comes to the shores of North America, bent on making everyone happy as hell. The latest crop of metal from there has been amazing and awe-inspiring. Now here enters Living Corpse, a Death/Thrash/Hardcore act that has been on the stages with many prominent bands in Extreme Metal today.

With no sign of being even the least bit subtle, Living Corpse plays some very nasty metal that makes any metalhead take heed. Strikingly harsh and heavy guitar work is the first thing that you notice right off the bat. With such pinpoint expertise, the guitarists show a level of prowess that is as impressive as it is heavy. The bass also show an impressive array of pure talent, while the bludgeoning drums and acrimonious spewed vocals set the tone for one of the most amazing albus yet. When you hear songs like the massively heavy ‘Ars Regia’ to the melody driven chainsaw riffing of ‘Twin Divine’ shows a young band that has come into their own... diverse yet massively pummelling musically. Living Corpse seem to understand that you just can’t go a hundred miles an hour all of the time... heaviness needs the melody to make it even more inspiring. They show maturity, wile never compromising anything to obtain that certain something that makes a band great.

Sounding like what I always hoped Killswitch Engage would have been like, Living Corpse show that the unification of heaviness, melody, passion and unadulterated power can mix and become a beast of its own. Living Corpse has the talent, now our little part of the metal world also knows. Tell anyone who will give a care, this band is far too good to keep under wraps.
