66.6666666... I swear I'm not making this up! I was going to write something smart (hopefully) about last week's releases when I decided to check how much new music in total I added to our database for 2019. I was shocked when I saw 791 records! This is an insane number to go through even for a person doing it as a full time job, not an afternoon-free-time warrior like me so, I decided to do some math on how long it would take to listen to all those albums. And here it is: I rounded all records to 800 releases X 40 minutes average length = 32000 minutes! Divide that by 60 minutes gives us 533.33 hours, divide that by 8 (regular job hours) and it equals 66.66666666666 days. That's how much daytime of nose-deep, non-stop listening without a lunch or even a pee-pee break it'd involve!

I swear on my father's grave I didn't do any number manipulations to end up with that total. First try, random roundups, one crazy final total... I'm not a superstitious man but when my calculator showed all 6s I think I made some kind of unrecognizable noise and I stood up from my chair (also don't know why). At this point I don't think there's anything I could possibly write to make this intro any better so, enjoy another 25 samples of evil music and I have to step outside and get some fresh air.
