Hemlock is a poisonous plant that was used for killing people in ancient Greece, and because of that... the band that has this name really had something here. This band is hailing from Las Vegas, NV... I am guess because of that, America's Sin City will never be the same.

The seem to build their music using some aspects of their influences they all have in good measures. There is this sort of Death metal thing going on with Hemlock, and they mix things like Punk also into it... but they have more that is being used to form their musical attack. Whatever it is ends up light a fire under anyone's butt with their passionate fury and the simple fact that they are their own beast.

Songs like the title track and the thought inspiring 'And The Friendship Corrodes' show both maturity and intelligence and without that compromise bulls**t that some do.... Other tracks like 'The Reason' and 'Product of Chance' are just plainly good music. So many shades are in this album, it clearly shows just how underrated this band really is. Musically, they seem to be striving for things... and not the status quo.

They clearly follow no real path on there path, deciding that they will simply forge one themselves... and they show that there is more coming out of Las Vegas than just glitz and glamour. The group clearly wants to be their own entity, rather than hitching a ride on someone's coat-tails. Hemlock are what they are... and will compromise to nobody to do it.
