Mean to the point of malevolence, nasty as all hell yet muddy sounding... that is exactly what we got here. It is when it is started up is eye openly raw and all around gut wrenching that it is hard not to gasp out as it batters you... but do they also impress?

Coming to us from Minneapolis, MN, Demonicon strike like a hungry cougar on an unsuspecting prey item from out of nowhere. They are the purest form of Death Metal at it's hyper-fast and blood letting best. Sheer aggression fronted riffs fly along while making sure they are making massive waves of pure chaos. Gotta admit, with that all going on, it does makes for a pretty great album.

Just listening to the oddly compelling 'God Complex' and you know that this band does not fool around with pretty passages or makes moodiness with their messages. The are there to invade your very mind, and challenge you to look at the world through their very blood fuelled eyes that make up Demonicon. This album is beyond scary, yet it has this sort of power to be seriously compelling as well.

The band describes themselves as this - "Where chaos and brutality collide". I gotta say without a doubt, they understand themselves very well... and now I understand them. They could tweak the recording a little better... but I guess that is a trade off. Despite the muddiness that surrounds the album, it can't hide that it is pretty damned good.
