From the wide open prairies of Canada comes Blackened Death Metal? Yep, its true, they have delivered just that! Coming from members of Reverend Kill and other local bands as well, Calgary, AB unleashes a metallic storm of epic per portions... Hammerdrone. It is music that is not for the faint of heart or anyone suffering from a serious lack of IQ points and that leaves out any wannabe cowboy in town.

I was stunned to hear this album, as Reverend Kill was a favorite of mine but even they never got so brutal as this did. With complexity and rock breaking power, Hammerdrone thunders in and explodes in your face. With all the brilliance and riotous aggression that explodes out with every riff, they are in the zone.

Handing us four stunning brilliant and monstrously talent filled songs - they have done for me what so many that have given me a EP to listen. They have given me a EP worth of the term Masterpiece. Each song is crafted out of solid steel and wielded like a long broadsword in the hands of a masterswordsman against a helpless victim. That is what this band brings to the table.

I am not being bias because I am a Canadian. I actually am very critical of the metal that comes out of our Great White North, its just that Hammerdrone is just a band that is so good. In many ways, this Calgary act has perfectly showcased how the Canadian metal scene has become one of the fastest advancing metallic armies in the world. In this army, it is Hammerdrone who is the General and in charge.
