This was a good album that has the right ingredients for a concept work.  It is very long and dynamic and features a heavy reliance on making the listener appreciate the moody aspects of the album.  This is still not as much of a concept work as Scenes From a Memory.  It is a very good album and has a lot of emotional depth going for it.

The musicianship on the album is solid with a lot of flash and finesse.  It is very effective and makes the album theatrical and interesting.  The vocals are good and the guitars are put in the forefront and very interesting.  The entire affair is well produced and makes for a solid listening experience.

The problem with the disc lies in its reliance on a concept based nature and it not having as many interesting moments as earlier works.  This is still a very fancy album and worthwhile to listen to.  People that are fans of the band will lap it up.

In conclusion, this is a very fun disc and one of the better ones the band has created.  It has the right number of interesting moments to make an impact and is very thoughtful and interesting music.  There isn’t anything amazing to be found here, but this is still good stuff, indeed.
