This is a good album that has the right ingredients to make for an excellent listen in the band’s catalogue.  It has a very light feeling that is less serious than on Abigail.  This means it can be more powerful and have an impact in other ways.  It is a more song oriented album than the concept oriented feel of that other album.

The musicianship is more fleshed out and has the feeling of being developed from previous albums.  The entire thing is very nicely paced and features a good and of stellar moments.  This is still a very good album that has a great deal of good guitar work and vocals.

The problem with the disc is that it lacks some of presence of the earlier albums and instead focuses on writing catchy songs.  This means that the album does not have the grand feeling of earlier albums and has more of a laid back and pristine approach.  It is still very solid.

The overall feeling I’m having with this album is that it is quite solid and has a great amount of impact, with great songs like “Sleepless Nights”.  It is addictive and highly playable.  There are very few flaws to be found here and it is an excellent addition to their catalogue.
