I look back on so many years of loving metal, and I have no regrets. This music has been good to me whether I play or write about/compose metal, it don’t matter - this is a love affair for me still. Now getting an album that has made me so excited, that excitement come streaming back for me.

WildeStarr is a project by Ex-Vicious Rumours bassist Dave Starr who had met a studio vocalist/keyboardists by the name of London Wilde... there was an instant a match. Fuelled by the love of the same music and complementing passions of it, they came together to record a demo single. When the single seemed to be received very well - they went on to write and record their debut album on their own label..."Arrival".

There are ten songs on the cd and I am suppose to chose a few to highlight here. Harder than you think to do, this band has delivered what I think is an album that is in the running for being the soundtrack of the Gods. Classically strong, uncompromisingly heavy and very unmistakably filled with talent that powers this metallic engine of this act... WildeStarr should be voted Ubber-lords here!!

I cannot even find a solitary weak song here - which is a first for me. Each one is a seething caldron of metallic nirvana wrapped in a nasty coat of barbed wire. I demand a second record soon. I just might go through WildeStarr withdrawals here. This is as close to a perfect album that I have had the pleasure of reviewing in many years.... buy the damned album and see for yourself. I would have never guessed.

Dave and London... Please!!... the metal world needs more!!!
