Polish bands are not too uncommon on the metal landscape these days. Polish music scene is vast, varied and at times – totally unpredictable as hell. That is why I am not to shocked at getting Guantanamo Party Program sent to me. Could this be another metallic diamond… or did my dog just leave it on the floor?

Combining post hardcore and sludge metal, Guantanamo Party Program comes at me with a sound that makes me curious. I dive in to listen to the five members and what they could offer up this old metalhead. There were no song titles listed, and my polish comprehension for figuring them out by the lyrics is pretty much non-existent… I hoped the music does the talking.

First few tracks are well done death metal, but clearly unmemorable – coming across as rushed, and overly produced throughout. The main body of the songs seemed less rushed for the most part, but suffered the same fate as the others and fall off the table as fast.  I do love some of the albums parts, but not as a whole.  It needs something… a direction, a better sound or something.  All I know, this album needs something to bring it to life… defib paddles also.

Without titles or a working grasp of the language, this is all I have to offer… as well as my honest opinion.  Its good, not great and needs some work.  Heaviness does not cover areas that are needed to be improved.  Like my rating or not, this is what I heard.
