Here's 32 minutes of best quality death metal you can get. If there were any doubters, with "Organic Hallucinosis" Decapitated proved its place in the top echelon of this genre. This beast rages with fury but it is so well controlled it's scary. A lot of things changed since their last album and even though I still love "Nihility", this piece of art will separate them from the rest of death metal scene. Gone are thrashy/melodic riffs, gone are guttural vocal of Sauron, gone is the overall catchiness of the songs. Well, maybe not completely but not to the degree of their previous efforts. Instead we're served a very technical, almost machine like dose of music that might remind of Meshuggah but far more interesting not to mention way faster. Non stop change of tempos and riffs keeps listener involved and expecting unexpected. Covan's vocals are in more of a mid range compared to Sauron's deep growls but that's what in part makes "Organic Hallucinosis" sound more distinguished. This is definitely the most mature record Decapitated has ever released and one that any death metal fan can't live without.
