You just gotta love that cover art and the low effort logo. It gets that late 80's primal thrash/death metal vibe to the foreground immediately, and you simply know right away what you're gonna get.

P.U.S. deal in a form of death metal-ish thrash metal that has me thinking of what Sepultura did on "Schizophrenia", but the names of a bunch of 80's US thrash bands come to mind as well. Delivering a heady mix of fast thrashing metal, growling vocals and well above average musical execution, with added gang vocals that give the aggro thrash a very punkish feel. The basis of the P.U.S. sound is formed by a style somewhere between (as mentioned) old Sepultura and Slayer when they still cared, but I hear influences of the older works of Agent Steel, Holy Terror and Hallows Eve as well. Flesh this out with some Suicidal Tendencies, Nuclear Assault, Sadus and later D.R.I., and you're pretty much there. Playing is surprisingly good, with some great bass and guitar leads, all adding up to a pretty entertaining dose of old school thrash/death metal.

The production is decent for a late 80's/early 90's underground metal band from Brazil. Of course it's not perfect, it has that 'dust under the needle' sound to it, and the sharp snare is a little too present on the foreground, but on the other side, you can hear all the other musicians do their thing. That could've easily gone much worse on a production from that era, you'll agree.

This is a cool EP that neatly holds the middle between thrash metal, hardcore and primal death metal. The overall execution is great, the sound somewhat rough around the edges but decent enough, with some cool songs present. It brought nothing new to the table, but their youthful enthusiasm makes up for that well enough.
