On the first account I said to myself, hell, this is as good as anything Death Spell Omega released so far. It's an enigma to figure out how Dutch Sauron managed to channel that much of furious energy yet the production is well condensed, for black metal standards, anyway. Here, on 'The Channeling Void' one can experience quite structured death-black metal miasma. Everything starts slowly, only few minutes later the opened channel of dark energy spreads to unleash its hellish fury of relentless inferno. And such is the tempo for about 66.6% of the time.

Enigmatical is also the album cover, with reminiscences to some of old Cubist paintings. Judging by attached propaganda these 'holders of the flag of hate' seem to be pretty serious about their black art; words themselves convey philosophical almost approach to painful human existence and fight with the holy. Almost changeless drum working hell-hammer hypnotizes you along with full of vengeance vocals. With more than regular chainsaw-buzz guitar attack this war-like marching squadron is about to exterminate everything on its way. Quite surprising!
