Impaled Nazarene and Miliking the Goatmachine beware: here come the "Goat Killers" from Poland, better known as Terrordome. The eponymous song, placed at the third position of the track list, is a typical high velocity neckbreaker with edgy riffing and an excellent guitar lead after the second chorus. Well, the lyrics do not reveal whether the goat killers come by the "Bangbus" or on an "Italian Stallion". Perhaps they advance by riding a "Crocodile". Anyhow, Terrordome had always cool song titles and, of course much more important, great compositions under their belly.

Although the band has left this unhealthy and hazardous place called Smogtown, "Plagued With Violence" does not search for new musical territories and only fools regret this. Terrordome have reached a fantastic quality level concerning their core competence. Their energy is infectious, the compact songs come to the point directly and the guitars fire slicing riffs in all directions. High speed is a welcome ingredient, but Terrordome also can deal with mid-tempo. After "Goat Killers", the first advance single, came "The Torture Continues" and this piece is even more impressive, although the dudes do not press the pedal to the metal. But those really cool guys among you who can realize the value of a song like Nuclear Assault's "Search & Seizure" know that this is no problem at all. "The Torture Continues" belongs to the highlights of the album, even though there is truly a lot of amazing stuff. In its second half, "Bow Down To The Antichrist" pays tribute to "Criminally Insane" in a pretty discreet manner while mixing it with the howling guitars of "Raining Blood". Sounds good as well, doesn't it? And the following Polish titled track ("River Of Blood" in English) offers an explosive outburst of pure violence after a ridiculous Christian intro.

Maybe the black metal artwork is somewhat irritating, but generally speaking, Terrordome have done a great job in any way. The dense, murderous and straight-in-your-face production supports the material superbly. It makes good pieces to fanatic eruptions of violence. Pressure is a truly dominant feature of the sound and it lends the songs a merciless touch, although the awesome sound of "Straight Outta Smogtown" was even one iota more brutal. Straightforward electric shocks such as "Beast Sharp Razor Cut" are like an escape room, only without any possibility to escape. With every second that the song lasts longer, the listener becomes a little more walled in and that's definitely the merit of the mix.

Unfortunately, the album is not completely free from mediocre sequences. It is a nasty surprise that precisely the title track lacks a good chorus, but it is true; it does not reveal any convincing idea. However, this fact remains a minor detail and the same applies to the solid, but not outstanding quality of the opener. Maybe it already suffers from its name "Chasing The Dragon" – Dio (R.I.P.) and every miserable Italian (stallion) power metal combo give applause, but it does not go hand in hand with the mostly dystopian vibrations the release spreads. Anyway, even God fails from time to time – remember his affinity for natural disasters, wars and famines. I am always surprised about the thinks he obviously likes. Compared with these gargantuan failures, Terrordome's little failures are forgivable. Moreover, as long as they are on their high octane thrash mission, they deserve any support. The guys show the right, rebellious attitude, they spurn compromises and their musical skills are great. Certainly, thrash metal is not the most popular sub-genre in these days, but who says that albums like this one cannot set things in motion? At least Impaled Nazarene and Milking the Goatmachine should be warned.
