I have been asked many times, to explain to people what I think is the best representation of Black Metal out there right now. Getting Ground Of Ruin to review... I have an album in my hands that I can clearly use to show exactly what I always have been meaning. This is the guideline that will show Black Metal/Death Metal off.

The Lord Of Darkness must love these people like crazy, perhaps he is the promoter. Ground Of Ruin do not dilute their blasphemous utterances, while constantly showing that they are in no way just a simplistic band. They play with such a abundance of power and passion, it would be hard not to hear what this band has to offer... unless you have been somehow struck down by a coma or something.

Musically, Ground Of Ruin have the entire package going for them. Power, heaviness, speed and just simply the hare having fun with it. All of these components come together and simply makes the music flow, when you have a band that seems so in tuned to one another... and they flow with such amazing power, it adds it all up to a great band that has some remarkable music to show the world in it's darkened shroud.

If you are tired of run-of-the-mill Death tinged Black Metal that has unfortunately been flooding the market out there... I want to tell every one of you to run out and pick up Ground Of Ruin. They have the sacrilegious explosion you are seeking, so play it very loud!!. I call on the major metal labels to come and sign them... they need the backing to get to the next level... (Hint, hint..Metal Blade Records... these guys need that...)
