Symphonic Black Metal is a dirty little pleasure that I indulge in on a regular basis, and I love being dirty. With that said, that was why when I saw that I had been charged with reviewing Shadows Of Paragon... I was more than happy, I was ecstatic as all hell..

This Southern Swedish band seems to be the real deal when it comes down to it. Full on musical power, sweeping melodies and an amazing way of painting a picture of darkness that few would not want to know exists.... even going as far as using a load of Christianity based stuff to add to the darkened mystique they lyrically make. They are no doubt, a band that does not follow any rules.

Shadows Of Paragon seem to be this Unblackened Black Metal sort of band, a term that actually fits because of the plain fact that as eloquent as they are heavy, this is a band that is true to what they do. To sum it up quite simply, they end up making one very impressive album that most in the BM community would like, and they also would make the Unblack Community also take note of just that they are doing .

Truly, Shadows Of Paragon just might be one of the few innovators in the world of metal. They have what it takes to make a name for themselves. The album is brilliant, amazing and full of talent... and shows of amazing things to come.
