To see a band live, in there own element is a experience that we all live for. That is where the passion and power shines through, and the sweat and effort becomes more like a religious experience as the band runs through their set. Unlike on a recording, it is harder to hide errors... and also conceal weakness any group has. DVD’s are not the best to judge from, but you sure do get a picture anyway.

Oakland California based Machine Head is a newer breed of metal but still holds the power and fire of old. There is so many flavours to this band (influence wise), that all add up to a band that is one of the leading groups out there. I am one that normally does not like the newer metal... but this rocks my world like no other.

With a mixture of old and new songs, the power, passion and the majestic heaviness of Machine Head really does come through in the live show. Songs like the brilliant Post Thrash of 'Bulldozer' to the mosh pit building 'Seasons Wither' show a band that has reached its stride, and are proud to beat you with it sonic assault for the nearly two hours that this DVD has to offer.

As a DVD goes... this really shows what the band is like alive and in full flight. Makes me really want to see this titanic four piece live and up close the first chance I can get out to them. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the band, because that I am a fan of any bands that actually are better live. Horns up to ya, Machine Head!!. I will be seeing you on the road hopefully really soon.
