Review by Anna on May 27, 2011.

This is the second full-length of Aussie Black Metal band Astriaal. This album has a Majestic Black Metal sound with some pretty good guitar work- arpeggios and solos laced throughout the album. Typical blastbeats are presented in an otherwise mid-paced formula, alongside a few mildly "unique" traits such as simple keyboards and distant chants. They are not doing anything new or unique, but they do Black Metal "well". My impression is that this band is quite "tasteful" in putting their music together. They don't try too hard but the problem always tends to be that it has all been done before. If you are still digging this kind of stuff here is another album to pick up.
