The Week In Metal - Week Of July 22 - 28, 2019

In the middle of last week, after 18 years of black layouts and designs, MetalBite has came out from the shadows and revealed the new, simple and clean design that hopefully will stand the test of time and serve the metal community for years to come. The driving force behind those changes was the way we access information, where in 2018 over 52 percent of all website traffic worldwide was generated just through mobile devices. Unfortunately, our old portal was not developed with responsive design in mind, hell, when we started there was no YouTube, BandCamp, Facebook or even MySpace. Shit, I just made myself very old! Obviously, this should have been done a lot sooner and while list of excuses is long, the main factor is free time. This always was and always will be a hobby and when you're one-man crew doing design, coding and testing things take time, a lot of time. Thankfully I have few dedicated writers that help me with content and day-to-day interactions with bands, labels and promoters, otherwise this would take a couple additional years to complete.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the new look, so hit play on any track below on your favorite mobile or desktop device and let me know of any issues. And while I still believe I got it right the first time ;), I might have missed something since I couldn't possibly test all platforms and browser version.
