Review by Adam M on January 27, 2023.
This album has a rollicking hard rock vibe to it that spreads throughout its run time and gives it substance. There are no real reference points for the band as they sound one of a kind and have their own niche. This is simply enjoyable stuff that needs to be taken with a grain of salt but it has all the right pieces together for a rocking adventure.
The musical performances on the album are solid, with guitars having a fun fuzziness to them and riffs that are very fun and absorbing which adds greatly to the experience. The drums back up the music nicely and with the bass rumbling up front it makes it for a very refreshing listen. Vocals are shouted and fit the music in a similarly fun fashion but with more emphasis on being creative it would make it even more satisfying. As it stands, this one is a very romping good time to listen to and it was bolstered by the instruments involved.
Could the album be improved? Sure, there could be more progressive thoughts applied to the album but songs like 'This Night' for example are a whole lot of fun nonetheless and carry the movement of the album forward. The band's sound is fairly standard and yet quite particularly interesting and manages to be consistently hard driving and impactful so this sort of seems like party music because of the mood created, though it isn't as strong as some other albums I've heard. In the future, I would like the band to open up to try new things, kick up their sound and try to rock it even more to make for a more fulfilling experience. This is a very good album that could have been made greater with even more open-ended ideas and out of the box creative thinking.
