MB on Spotify - January summary
Greetings fellow metalheads!
Year 2020 has presented us with really good material, I've definitely found some new favourite bands and heard some really interesting material from old favourites, too. And we've already gone through the first month of 2021 and it seems we should still enjoy in both new and traditional metal subgenres.
January has brought us some nice set of singles, the biggest names you can find on our playlist are Fleshgod Apocalypse, Humanity's Last Breath, Brand of Sacrifice, Korpiklaani, Asphyx, Sirenia, The Crown, Eyehategod, Accept, Moonspell, Wardruna, Memoriam and Epica. Obviously I'm keeping an eye on BAEST, can't wait to hear their next full-length, so far the material presents solid death metal. All of the above and plenty of new, fresh sounds can be found under this link:

The list of EPs from January is quite short. We've got Lotan, Sacrocurse, Portrayal of Guilt, Mountain Hermit and Ewigkeit. Less than 2 hours of your time and you're all up to date:

Albums have also given us some material from bands presenting solid quality for quite some time already. New full-lengths from bands like Gatecreeper, Therion, Asphyx, Tribulation or Accept prove that some big names like to start a new year with a release of a complete material. But there's a lot more on this playlist, we've got some first albums, second albums and those breakthrough third albums. Definitely interesting old-school death metal project of vocalist from Crematory - STASS, all-female Nervosa, one-woman black metal project Hulder, Yoth Iria (as their description says - founded by alumni of Rotting Christ, including Magus Wampyr Daoloth), fantastic new album from Les Chants de Nihil and a lot more can be found under the link below:

I've managed to find only two live singles in January - Solbrud and Enforcer:

We've got 2 re-releases of full albums in January - "Stinking Cesspool of Liquified Human Remnants" by Ingested and "Guardians" by Saor. Scarlet Aura released a "Colour Blind" single as a teaser before their re-release of "Falling Sky" debut album. All can be found here:

And that's all we've got, please keep an eye on these playlists as well as new playlists for February which should appear shortly. I obviously encourage you to browse some of the older playlists, too, they could be hiding some music you've been waiting for. And there's no easier way of doing it than having someone like me preparing these playlists for you, so you can just press play and enjoy those haunted sounds. Don't worry, I'm sure it's not your neighbours screaming, I'm sure it's just special effects used on this album.
Mosh responsibly \m/
