Video Watch: BENIGHTED, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, DARK FORTRESS, WOLF
Extreme French metal outfit BENIGHTED unveiled the very first brutal track of their long anticipated new full length "Obscene Repressed". The new death grind offering will see the light on April 10, 2020 via Season of Mist.
BENIGHTED comment: "Here we go, my friends, we are proud to unleash our 1st new track; 'Brutus'! It's a song writen in french about the pure hate from the album's main charakter Michael, and his story against his father and the sexual disgusting things he does to his mother... Enjoy and spread it like a plague!!!"
HEAVEN SHALL BURN released two videos for the brand new songs 'Protector' and 'Weakness Leaving My Heart' that are linked in one clip to reflect the two sides of their concept double album "Of Truth And Sacrifice".
Guitarist Maik Weichert explains: "In order to reflect the concept of the double album we decided to produce a 'double video' which turned into a real mammoth project. 'Protector' is taken from album one ("of Truth") while 'Weakness Leaving My Heart' is part of album two ('of Sacrifice'). While 'Protector' represents confidence and a readiness for action 'Weakness Leaving My Heart' is contemplative and deals with the sacrifices and losses that truth may cost. Something you should also feel from the different vibes of the songs. The double album is giving you the essence of what HSB is about and there is lots to explore."
Venerated black metal specialists DARK FORTRESS return with a new album, "Spectres From the Old World", on February 28th, 2020. For a glimpse into the endless black, check out 'Isa', the second song taken from the album.
Guitarist V. Santura about the track: "We are proud to present 'Isa', a monolithic song inspired by Arctic Icescapes. The first single we released on December 20th, 'Pulling at Threads', is definitely one of the fastest and shortest songs taken from 'Spectres from the Old World'. With 'Isa' we are putting out a different, opposite aspect: 'Isa' is the longest track on the album and probably also one of the heaviest and most epic songs in our discography thus far."
Swedish heavy metal masters WOLF strike back with their brand-new single 'Midnight Hour'. It is a first foretaste of their eighth studio album "Feeding The Machine" that will be released on March 13th, 2020 via Century Media Records.
WOLF states: "This is the first video from "Feeding the Machine", directed by Daniel Wahlström of Heavy Groove Media. Apparently we have a tradition in WOLF to have Niklas half naked and tormented in the videos and this fine tradition we still uphold. You got to suffer for the art, right? Seriously, it has been a blast working with Daniel, who is full of crazy ideas and there will be a second video from him later on. Oil your neck joints, let your inner animal out and howl at the moon. We give you: 'Midnight Hour'!"
