VISIONS AND DREAMS is a new Finnish-Swedish heavy/power metal project, self-defined as  "Nordic heavy power metal band with a Transylvanian tinge." This is the new original music band of talented Finnish vocalist Mikael Salo (Metal de Facto, Dyecrest, Thy Row, Everfrost, Northern Seer). The band will release their first single ever, titled "Risen" on Halloween's night, October 31st. It will be available on all streaming platforms. In turn, their live debut will be in Sweden, at House of Metal Festival, on November 8th.

"Risen" is an epic metal masterpiece that lasts more than 8 minutes. The band has already shown some fragments of "Risen" from their official X and Instagram accounts as promotion. This long-awaited debut promises to offer a mysterious, incredibly powerful adventure, due to the talents' fuse of Mikael Salo alongside Pelle Åkerlind (Axenstar, Bloodbound, Morgana Lefay) on drums; Fredrik Mannberg (Nocturnal Rites, Guillotine, Engraved, Persuader) and Emil Norberg (Persuader, Savage Circus, Long Shadows Dawn) on guitars. Bassist to be announced. The keyboards and orchestrations were created by Henke Kjellberg (Prouder, Burning Angel), adding a layer of depth and complexity to the ensemble. The single was masterfully mixed by Mattias Eklund at Farkosten Studio and mastered by Thomas "Plec" Johansson, at the multi-Grammy Award-winning Panic Room Studio.

Regarding the single selection, Mikael Salo declared that their intention was to present the band with a song that would summon and combine each of the members' different influences and sounds. in a musical epic of more than 8 minutes. They believe that fans of Emil Fredrik and Pelle's previous bands will be excited and eager to discover the music of "Visions and Dreams" through "Risen". Similarly, Mikael Salo believes that fans of Symphony X and Iced Earth - of which Mikael is an ultra fan - will find a place in the sound of Visions And Dreams.

On the other hand, Visions And Dreams will debut on a first-class stage, as befits such a select group of musicians. The event is this November 8 at House of Metal Festival in Sweden, where they will open the Studion stage show, along with the bands Defleshed, Mork Gryning and Bewitcher.

So the stage is set for an extraordinary debut from Visions And Dreams, set against the backdrop of their collective experience and passion for music.
