MB on Spotify - September summary

Greetings fellow metalheads!

What a month it's been! I thought August brought us a lot of music, but it seems the list of releases for September is also very impressive. Or maybe I'm so excited about this month, because I found some full-lengths which have been on my speakers for many hours now and I can't wait to share my thoughts on some of them with you soon. Anyways, let's get to the stuff that you can find on our playlists so that you can join us in celebrating the new music released last month.

The list of singles released in September includes more teasers of upcoming stuff from some big names like Benediction or Carcass, but also some unexpected material from My Dying Bride for example (well, unexpected to me, at least) or from Belphegor, who decided to celebrate the 20th birthday of their "Necrodaemon Terrorsathan" by re-recording the title track. And releasing a video full of their trademark blasphemous filth. Seriously, these Austrians know how to stay true to their image, no matter if you look at their album covers or videos. We can hear new Armored Saint, Burning Witches, Corrupt Moral Altar, legendary Deeds of Flesh prepare us for the last album with Erik Lindmark (R.I.P.) and many more. There are quite a few EPs from September which definitely deserve your attention: After Earth, Angelic Desolation, Cobra Spell, Desource, Evilyn, Ewigkeit, Ihsahn (which includes two very interesting cover songs), Marche Funèbre, Orphans of Doom and Pyrrhic:

Now the part most exciting to me - albums. If you share taste similar to mine, you should get equally excited about new material from Carnation (is it just me or someone should ask George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher to take a paternity test?), Cult of Lilith (the name and the logo tricked me to think it would be some black metal stuff, it's not, but still an amazing album), Foretoken, LIK, Napalm Death, Oceans of Slumber (AKA If-Leona-Lewis-Was-Into-Metal Band, but seriously - good stuff) and Skeletal Remains. Also make sure you read some of our reviews while listening to Darkened, Korgull the Exterminator, LIK, Scordatura, Thrasherwolf, Transcendence, Uada and Void Rot. And agree or disagree. But you should agree, you can trust us, we're experts. Anyway, here's the link:

The list of live releases from September includes singles from Jinjer, Motörhead ("Shoot You in the Back" from 1981) and Hammerfall as well as full live album from Varathron:

We also have quite a few re-releases to listen to and reminisce on our impressions when we heard these albums for the first time - Humanity's Last Breath re-released their self-titled album and "Detestor", Krosis re-released "Mount of Sacrifice", this year Ozzy Osbourne's "Blizzard of Ozz" is 40 years old, so we  get a special edition with quite a few extras. We also have Saor's remastered "Aura", Satan released "Early Rituals" and Skeletal Remains gave us remastered "Beyond the Flesh" and "Condemned to Misery":

And don't forget to press that cute "heart" button on our playlists to stay up to date. And to enjoy discovering new music as much as we do. And most of all support those who provide you with these wonderful sounds - buy their merch and spread the word about good music amongst all of your acquaintances.

Mosh responsibly \m/
