HIDEOUS DIVINITY unleashed music video for 'The Embalmer'

Italian technical death metal force HIDEOUS DIVINITY have just released their first single and music video for 'The Embalmer'. The track is off the band's fourth studio album Simulacrum, out on November 8th, 2019 via Century Media Records.
"Perhaps more than any other song on 'Simulacrum', 'The Embalmer' represents the new path in front of Hideous Divinity," guitarist Enrico Schettino states about the new track. "We knew it was time for 'not just a video clip'. Something more was needed. When Olivier accepted our proposal and came out with the script, the whole thing hit us like a train wreck. We found the Embalmer. With his art, he created a nightmare and invited us into it: half covered in clay, standing like powerless statues, soon we understood to be in the hands of a maniac. Olivier De Sagazan came and embalmed reality in a distorted image, creating a destabilizing simulacrum. You can see us, blind observers, watching the grotesque repetition as he replaces Stephanie on the surgical field. 'Rise!', he cried."

The Week In Metal - Week Of Dec 16 - 31, 2019

Since end of December has most bands already setting sights on next year, I decided to combine those last two weeks into one final list and give myself next Monday off. With over 2000 releases (MetalBite database only) in 2019 alone, I think we all deserve a short break. I'm not claiming that I've heard them all, but they all were sent to us via promo email, physical format or as a word-of-mouth recommendation, and great majority was at the least checked with one spin before we moved on to the next victim. So, if you're disappointed that your band/record wasn't reviewed join our ranks, because it looks like there are a lot more bands than reviewers.
